Cascades Tissue Group is a proud member of the EPA Green Power Partnership, a voluntary program recognizing U.S. organizations who have made a commitment to meet threshold requirements of renewable energy.This program promotes the use of green power among leading U.S. organizations, who are encouraged to purchase green power as a way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Participation in the program signifies that a company’s green power purchase meets nationally accepted standards in terms of size, content and resource base, thereby increasing stakeholders’ confidence in their renewable energy program.
AASHE Member
(Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education)AASHE is an association of colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada working to create a sustainable future. Its mission is to promote sustainability in all sectors of higher education – from governance and operations to curriculum and outreach – through education, communication, research and professional development. Businesses, organizations, and government agencies also participate as AASHE partner members. AASHE aims to advance the efforts of the entire campus sustainability community by uniting diverse initiatives and connecting practitioners to resources.

Green Restaurant Association
North River is the only towel and tissue brand endorsed by the Green Restaurant Association.The Green Restaurant Association (GRA), a national non-profit organization, provides services in research, consulting, education, marketing and community organizing. The GRA utilizes a collaborative strategy that involves restaurants, manufacturers, vendors, grassroots organizations, government, media, and restaurant customers. The GRA’s model provides a convenient way for all sectors of the restaurant industry, which represents 10% of the U.S. economy, to become more environmentally sustainable.
